Now track it in days, for €1

Once you have the figure in days, that's how you set it up in Book Time Off. It's a simple, effective annual leave tracker: set each person's allowance, and it counts the days off, loads Malta's 14 public holidays automatically, and gives the whole team a shared calendar and wallchart with one-click approvals. It works with Outlook, Slack and Google Calendar too. A flat €1 per user a month, with a 30-day free trial and no card.

It doesn't run payroll or track hours; that stays with your payroll tool. You convert once here, set the allowance in days, and the team plans leave in days.

Where the 216 hours comes from

It is the 2026 statutory minimum for a full-timer: 192 basic hours plus 24 in lieu of the three public holidays that fall on a weekend this year, set under the Organisation of Working Time Regulations (S.L. 452.87) made under the Employment and Industrial Relations Act (Cap. 452), and published each year by DIER. It changes annually, and it is general guidance, not legal or payroll advice.
