Everything most UK teams use from Timetastic's £2 Pro plan · SSO, Slack, Teams, Outlook, reporting · for £1.

Being straight about the gaps: burnout alerts and per-leave-type balance pots are not in Book Time Off today. If you need those specific things, Timetastic Pro still has the edge. For everything else most small teams actually use, you pay half.

Book Time Off includes at £1 what Timetastic gates behind its £2 Pro tier. The same everyday features, half the Pro price.

Timetastic plan features shown per their published pricing at timetastic.co.uk/pricing, checked June 2026. Prices and plans change, so verify on the day you decide. Per-leave-type balance pots, day-by-day accrual and per-person work patterns are deliberate design choices Book Time Off does not replicate.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

How much does Book Time Off cost?

£1 per user per month, billed monthly. No contracts and no hidden fees. Your first 30 days are free, and you don't need to enter card details to start. If you decide not to continue, your account simply ends and your data is removed.

How does it compare to Timetastic and other leave management tools?

Book Time Off is £1 per user per month. Timetastic is £1.20 on its Basic plan and £2 on Pro. The features Timetastic reserves for its £2 Pro plan, including Microsoft 365 single sign-on, Outlook calendar sync, Slack and Microsoft Teams notifications and admin reports with insight charts and CSV export, are all included in our single £1 plan. We're also a fraction of the cost of broader HR suites like BreatheHR, BambooHR, CharlieHR or Workday, which charge anywhere from £22 to several hundred pounds a month and bundle features most small teams never use. Where Timetastic Pro still wins is burnout alerts and per-leave-type balance pots. For a full side-by-side, see our Book Time Off vs Timetastic and best leave management software comparisons.

Is there really a 30-day free trial with no card?

Yes. Sign up with an email, verify with a one-time code, and you have full access to every feature for 30 days. We'll only ask for payment details if you choose to continue.

Can I import my data from Timetastic?

Yes. The Timetastic import brings across your departments, people, allowances and this year's approved leave in one upload. You can run it from the onboarding wizard or from Settings → Import data at any time.

Are UK bank holidays included?

Yes. We pull bank holidays directly from the official GOV.UK feed and refresh them each year automatically. You can choose between the England & Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland calendars at the team or per-person level. Bank holidays are never deducted from staff allowance.

Is there a contract or minimum term?

No. Book Time Off is a rolling monthly subscription. Cancel from your billing settings whenever you like and you won't be charged again. You can also delete your account and all associated data immediately if you'd rather.

How does billing work as my team grows?

Your subscription quantity automatically syncs with your active team size. Add a new starter, your next bill goes up by £1. Archive a leaver, it goes down. Archived users still count toward billing until you permanently remove them, which keeps their leave history accessible.

Who is Book Time Off for?

Small and medium businesses who want a no-nonsense staff absence tracker. Particularly suited to teams of 5-100 people who've outgrown spreadsheets but don't need (or want to pay for) a full HR suite.

Stop chasing holiday requests over email and Slack.

30 days free. No card. No contract. £1 per user per month if you stay.
